PGDBA Syllabus

Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics -PGDBA- syllabus comprises four subjects – Verbal Ability (VA), Data Interpretation and Data Visualization, Logical Reasoning (LR) and Quantitative Aptitude (QA). The syllabus of Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics -PGDBA- exam is defined by the PGDBA conducting authorities, i.e., IIM Calcutta, IIT Kharagpur, and ISI Kolkata and remains the same every year. Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics -PGDBA- 2020 official notification is out and PGDBA 2020 exam will be held on February 16, 2020. Timings for the PGDBA 2020 exam are 10:30 A.M. – 01:30 P.M. Earlier PGDBA exam used to be in pen and paper-based mode but from this year PGDBA 2020 will be held in Computer Based Test (CBT) i.e. in online mode. The duration of the PGDBA 2020 exam is 3 hours. The test will have a total of 50 questions carrying 150 marks. Each of these questions will be a Multiple-Choice Question (MCQ). Every question will have only one correct answer. There will be 15 questions on Verbal Ability, 5 questions on Logical Reasoning, 5 questions on Data Interpretation and Data Visualization, and 25 questions on Quantitative Aptitude.

Logical connectives, Statements, and Conclusions, Matching, and sequences.

Data driven questions (pie charts, graphs, trends)

Quantitative Ability section comprises of the below topics. This section comprises of 25 questions.

• Combinatorics
• Algebra (solutions of quadratic equations, inequalities, simultaneous linear equations, binomial theorem, series, AP, GP, HP, matrices)
• Euclidean geometry
• Coordinate geometry (lines, circles, conic sections)
• Trigonometry (triangles, trigonometric identities, heights, and distances)
• Calculus (functions, limits, continuity, derivative, maxima & minima, methods of integration, evaluation of areas using integration)

PGDBA Exam Pattern

PGDBA 2020 exam will be conducted in an online i.e. Computer Based Test (CBT) mode at various centers across India. The total number of questions in the exam paper will be 50 divided across different sections including Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, and candidates will get 180 minutes (3 hours) to answer the questions. There is no sectional time limit to attempt any section. Here is a brief summary of the PGDBA 2020 exam pattern.
