The PGDBA Programme is a 2-year full-time Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) jointly offered by Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, and Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) Kolkata.
POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS ANALYTICS (PGDBA) is a two-year full-time diploma program in business analytics endeavored at creating business analytics experts employable at leading Indian and international firms. This program is suitable for candidates having an analytical mindset, are interested in solving challenging business problems, and possess an interest in mathematics. Some of the distinguishing features of the PGDBA programme include courses taught by reputed faculty members at the campuses of three global institutes IIMC, ISI Kolkata and IIT Kharagpur, hands-on business analytics training at a related company, continuous interaction with industry leaders and experts throughout the course of the PGDBA programme, and the availability of placement opportunities at all three institutes jointly offering PGDBA (Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics).
PGDBA students will visit the three institutions – Indian Statistical Institute Kolkata, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, and Indian Institute of Management Calcutta – spending about six months at each institute. Each of the three institutes will focus on a separate area of their expertise in business analytics, following its knowledge and competence. While the curriculum at IIM Calcutta will focus on the application of analytics in functional areas of management, ISI Kolkata will bring its expertise in statistical and machine learning theories for analytics, and faculty at IIT Kharagpur will engage with the technical aspects of business analytics.
How can one apply to PGDBA offered by IIM Calcutta, Indian Statistical Institute, and IIT Kharagpur?
Eligible candidates are requested to apply online on the official website of PGDBA. Self-attested copies of all required documents should be uploaded. Application fee of Rs.2000/- (Rs.1000/-for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories) has to be paid as a part of the application process. Last date of submission of online application: January 06, 2020.
A written test will be held on February 16, 2020, to shortlist candidates for personal interviews. Candidates shortlisted after the written test will be called for the personal interview. The final offer would be made based on performance in the written test, personal interview, work experience, and the academic background.
